Guwahati News Desk: The BJP on Monday named former BPF member Biswajit Daimary as its candidate for the by-election to the Upper House from Assam.
Earlier, Daimary had joined the saffron party after quitting his Rajya Sabha seat as a Bodoland Peopleâs Front MP.
Daimary has been thrice elected to the House since 2008 and had quit soon after his re-election in 2020.
Other names nominated by the BJP are N Ramchander Rao and Gujjula Premender Reddy.
