Guwahati News Desk: Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau on Friday celebrated virtual Diwali by lighting up a ceremonial lamp from his office in Ottawa.
PM Trudeau in his Twitter handle wrote, “Diwali reminds us that truth, light, and goodness will always prevail. To celebrate that hopeful message and mark this important festival, I joined a virtual celebration earlier this evening. Happy Diwali to everyone celebrating!”
The Canada’s Minister of Public Services and Procurement, Anita Anand, MPs Raj Saini and Gary Anandasangaree organised the 2020 celebration in Ontario and Toronto respectively where a host of prominent Canadian politicians also joined.
