Guwahati News Desk: The government of Assam has issued a notification as the curfew timing of Kamrup Metro district to remain open from 5 am to 4 pm from June 28.
The new curfew timing was extended from 2 pm to 4 pm.
All the shops, market areas, establishment, offices across the district to remain open till 3 pm.
The curfew timing in Kamrup Metro has extended looking at the declining cases of COVID-19 in recent days.
Kamrup Metro alone reported 162 new COVID-19 and 4 people died.
New 2,781 COVID-19 positive cases were reported as active cases reach 29,667 on Thursday across in Assam.
1,24,019 COVID-19 tests were conducted in the State and 34 people died.
Whereas Sonitpur reported 228 new cases, Golaghat with 249 cases, Nagaon with 176 cases and Dibrugarh with 182 cases as the positivity rate of the state reached 2.24 per cent.
3,604 people recovered from COVID-19 as the recovery rate reaches 92.84 per cent.
