Guwahati News Desk: 15 COVID-19 positive differently abled children discharged after testing negative from Tezpur Medical College and Hospital (TMCH) on Friday.
The children were admitted by Missionaries of Charity of Tezpur while testing positive for COVID-19.
Meanwhile, in Tezpur 11 children of childrenâs home tested positive for COVID-19 including six staff members on Monday.
The children and the staff members were immediately admitted to TMCH and later the childrenâs home was declared as containment zones by the administration.
The doctors and nurses including the hospital administration has put all their effort into treating the children from COVID-19.
At least 2,300 children have tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam since April 1 this year, as per sources.
Recently in Dibrugarh, five children died of COVID-19 out of which three were reported with co-morbidities.
A 11-month-old minor also died at Assam Medical College & Hospital (AMCH) which has put a tense situation in the district.
The 11-month-old infant who died came to the hospital in worst condition from Tingkong. The minor was immediately admitted to ventilation but after six hours the infants died, as said by the officials.
