Guwahati News Desk: Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma has been ranked as the ‘Best Chief Minister’ among Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ruled States as per a survey conducted by leading media India Today.
Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma shares a rating of 29 per cent along with the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath.
India Today carried out the Mood of the Nation Survey 2021 survey which has rated CM Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma based on his management during the COVID-19 pandemic. Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma tackled the pandemic situation in such a way that it has become an effective COVID management of the second wave in Assam.
Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma was sworn as the new Chief Minister of Assam on May 10 and immediately Dr Sarma urged the Assam Police to conduct multiple operations against the drugs peddlers in Assam. As in today the drugs chain in Assam has been broken down by the Assam Police and arrested many drugs peddlers.
Meanwhile, after Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was list in the second-ranked followed by the Chief Minister of Jharkhand Hemant Soren in third place.
