Guwahati News Desk: The upcoming festival Durga Puja festival to be celebrated with COVID-19 safety protocol in Assam, informed by Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday.
For the second time, one of the biggest festival Durga Puja to be celebrated under COVID-19 protocol from October 11 till October 15.
Last year a very few people were witnessed in the puja mandap due to COVID-19 pandemic as many people choose television to watch different mandaps of Puja.
On Wednesday, new 427 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Assam as active cases reaches to 4,951. In Kamrup Metro reported 101 COVID-19 cases, Jorhat with 38 cases, Dibrugarh with 22 cases and Lakhimpur 21 cases.
