Malaya Neog, Tinsukia: Raw Mango Panna to beat the heat….
(It is a healthy, refreshing and tasty summer cooler popular in Northern and Western parts of India. It is made with tender, raw and sour mangoes and additional spices are added for additional flavours.)
#Aam (Mango) Panna
Ingredients:
Raw mangoes – 2 nos
Water – 3 cups
Mint leaves- Handful
Sugar – 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
Cumin pwoder – 1 tsp
Pepper powder – 1 tsp
Salt – ½ tsp (According to taste)
Ice cubes – few
Ice cold water
Instructions:
For the aam panna concentrate:
Pressure cook the mangoes for 4-5 whistles. Let them cool completely. Now peel off the skin
and scrape the pulp of mangoes.
Transfer the pulp to a blender. Add mint leaves and sugar.
Blend to a smooth paste. Add cardamom powder, cumin powder, pepper powder and salt to the paste. Mix everything well. Mango panna concentrate is ready.
To serve :
In a glass take 1-2 tbsp(according to your taste) of aam panna concentrate and add ice cubes. Pour in ice cold water and mix well. And enjoy….
