Guwahati News Desk: The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways have issued a notification for making FASTags mandatory.
The said rule will come to effect from 1st January, 2021 for all four wheelers across the country.
FASTag will enable people to pay toll taxes without stopping for cash transation. The tag works with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology.
Currently, FASTag is operating in 180 toll plazas in the country.
