Guwahati News Desk: The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ADSMA) has revised the curfew timing on Saturday in Kamrup Metro to be imposed from 5 pm instead of 4 pm from June 28.
Earlier, the State Health and Family Welfare Minister Keshab Mahanta said the new Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) was released looking at the view of the current COVID-19 situation in Assam as it will effective from June 28 to July 4.
Curfew timing in Guwahati city to be imposed from 5 pm as all the shops, commercial establishment, offices to be shut down by 4 pm.
Meanwhile, the complete lockdown was announced in four districts Biswanath, Morigaon, Goalpara and Bokakhat town of Golaghat district as only essential service will be allowed to operate.
The odd/even rule to continue in Guwahati and restriction of inter-district to remain ban until further notice.
New 2,640 COVID-19 positive cases were reported as active cases reach 27,565 on Saturday.
Today, 1,27,887 COVID-19 tests were conducted in the State and 33 people died. Kamrup Metro alone reported 172 new positive cases with 2 death.
Whereas Sonitpur reported 237 new cases, Jorhat with 175 cases and Golaghat with 266 cases as the positivity rate of the state reached 2.06 per cent. 3,499 people recovered from COVID-19 as the recovery rate reaches 93.33 per cent.
