Guwahati News Desk: The Chassad Battalion of Assam Rifles recovered three improvised explosive devices (IED) including other explosive materials near Indi-Myanmar Border under the Spear Corps foiled an attempt to target security forces on August 17.
The search operation was launched by the Assam Rifles troops near Indo-Myanmar border as during the operation the troops detected and recovered the IEDs along with some explosive sticks, detonators and safety fuzes.
The troops started more search operation near the recovered area. The recovered IEDs and other explosive materials were handed over to the Kamjong Police for further investigation.
The Kamjong Police has already started their investigation to find out the depth of the IEDs and other recovered materials. After recovering the IEDs the area has been under high alert.
