Guwahati News Desk: A United States company has collaborated with Farmer Producer Organisations (FPO) to manufacture nutraceuticals from a special turmeric variety Lakadong.
The special turmeric which grows in Meghalaya was launched by Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Thursday.
The product was launched in the United States through video conferencing.
Union Minister has told people that the centre will put extra possible facilities to the agricultural sector of northeast India.
