Guwahati News Desk: The Guwahati Tea Auction Centre (GTAC) on Thursday amidst the COVID-19 pandemic sold a Speciality Tea at a record price of Rs 75,000 per kg.
The Manohari Gold Speciality Tea received the highest bidding this year, said Dinesh Bihani, Guwahati Tea Auction Buyer’s Association (GTABA), secretary.
Contemporary Brokers Private Limited sold the tea to Vishnu Tea Company, a Guwahati-based tea trader, which will sell it on their digital e-commerce website 9amtea.com across the world.
