Men’s 100-meter World champion Coleman banned for 2 yrs

Guwahati News Desk: Christian Coleman, Men’s 100-meter world champion was banned for two years after violating three doping control rules.

Coleman, 24 will miss the Tokyo Olympics next year as he will be banned until May 2022, said Track and field’s Athletics Integrity Unit.

The American sprinter had been provisionally suspended from competition since May. However he can appeal his ban at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Coleman bagged silver in both events at the 2017 worlds in London.
