Guwahati News Desk: National Health Mission (NHM) Assam have launched Mobile COVID-19 vaccination system in Guwahati City on Monday.
The mobile vaccination drive was launched to reach every citizen of Guwahati and made easily available of vaccination for the city people. The arrangement was made available in multiple places across the city which has been started from today and is divided into five divisions.
According to the sources, the new vaccination drive has also divided the capital division and the Dhirenpara division. The mobile vaccination was going on below the Ganeshguri flyover as the campaign was seen successful as large number of city people had witnessed and came forward to take the vaccination.
Earlier, the government of Assam has aimed to vaccinate all the 100 per cent of citizens of Guwahati by end of August. The decision was taken as Guwahati City is regularly reported more than 100 COVID-19 positive cases.
Assam Health and Family Welfare Minister Keshab Mahanta have said the government will prepare a list of the people of Guwahati city who are yet not vaccinated as will start the vaccination session for them.
For preparing the list of non-vaccinated people of Guwahati, the government will collect the voterâs list from 1204 voting centres and will prepare the list to vaccinate the citizens of Guwahati.
The health department also launched a helpline number 8929103776 for the citizens of Guwahati to get information regarding the availability of vaccines in the vaccination centres.
A mandatory order was given to all the shopping malls, a commercial complex that its owner has to display a banner in front of their shops that the staffs are fully vaccinated.
On Sunday, Kamrup Metro reported new 74 COVID-19 cases with 1 death reported.
