Ishita Bora: Samrat D’one, one of the finest model-turned-actor, who hails from Arunachal Pradesh, is the new face of Assam.
Graduated from Guwahati College and completed PG in Mass Communication & Journalism from Cotton University, Samrat started his career as a model and he shared ramp for amazing designers and also worked with institute like NIID.
In conversation with Hello Guwahati, Samrat said:
“Being a model, we have to do lots of hardwork and maintain good diet. After modelling, I got chance to work with N.L Production under the direction of Newton Langthasa.”
His first music video was “Tere Bin,” a cover song and after the success of Tere Bin, N.L Production cast him again for a music video that was “Hamjaoma,” a Dimasa music video.
With N.L Production, he did a Dimasa feature movie named “Hamjaoma Gibise” and that movie was the turning point of his life.
Likewise, more projects from N.L Production came into his hand.
He added: “I did my last Dimasa music video this year that was Ani Shaumin. I also worked with Sugam Films Production, a production house of Tripura. The name of the song was Ani Thinangni.”
Also, recently, he did a Bollywood music video sung by Javed Ali and one Assamese music video sung by Kiran Bala Devi and Zubeen Garg under the banner of Star fox regional.
Thus, while asking about his hobbies, he said:
“I love listening to music, travelling, making new friends. Also, I love eating momos and cook delicious food for my parents and friends.”
