Guwahati News Desk: The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has announced the extension of the validity of the motor vehicle documents till September 30 this year.
The motor vehicle documents include a driving licence (DL), registration certificate (RC) including all permits of commercial vehicles etc amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic across the nation.
The MoRTH has added it will be applicable for those whose documents validity has expired since February 1 of 2020 or would expire by September 30 this year.
The decision will help out the people availing the transport services by maintaining social distancing.
The ministry also advised all the State Government and union territories are requested to inform their citizens, transporters and other organisation to take time rather than getting harassed during the difficult time.
