Guwahati News Desk: 1st BN National Disaster Response Force is organising Inter Battalion competition on professional skill over various disaster management equipment used at different types of incidents like earthquake, collapsed structure, flood rescue, CBRN and more within one minute. The other important one is showing the skill of establishing satellite communication, high and very high frequency communication and more.
The inaugural event for all these competitions was conducted at DIET Mirza, Kamrup Rural (Assam) on November 8 at 7:30 am. The aim of this competition is to assess the professional efficiency of rescuers participating from various NDRF Battalions.
HPS Kandari, Commandant 1st BN NDRF graced the two day event as chief guest in presence of Gurminder Singh, Commandant 2nd BN NDRF, Pankaj Kavidayal, 2IC, Anil Chauhan, DC and other guests.
The event is being witnessed by rescuers of the NDRF and other sister agencies. The competition will conclude on the forenoon of November 10 with a closing ceremony.
