Guwahati News Desk: Assam food and civil supplies minister Phani Bhusan Choudhury on Wednesday announced that the wholesale price of onions will decrease upto Rs 50 per kg from Thursday onwards.
The decision was made by Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal in a meeting with representatives of trade organisations in Guwahati. There they discussed about the skyrocket rise of essential commodities in the state. In the meet Agriculture Ministers Atul Bora was also present.
Meanwhile, CM Sonowal in his tweet wrote, “Price rise affects all, so it is my earnest appeal to everyone to work as #TeamAssam and find a way to resolve this issue at the earliest.”
