Guwahati News Desk: Due to increasing cases of COVID-19 across the nation prices of oximeter was seen rapidly increasing in the market.
Earlier, it was easily available at around Rs 500 to Rs 700 in the pharmacy and online e-commerce which has now increased to double.
Buying an oximeter for poor people has become a hard task.
The demand for oximeter was rapidly increasing day by day which leads to the unavailability in e-commerce sites.
While speaking to a local pharmacy owner in Chandmari he said, “After the rising cases of COVID-19 the demand for oximeter has touched the skies. Earlier it was easily available at around below Rs 1,000 but due to its high demand, its retail price rises from Rs 2000 to Rs 2500.”
On the other hand, on the e-commerce market like Flipkart its prices start from Rs 1,440 however lower price oximeter is made unavailable.
