Guwahati News Desk: Petrol price reaches Rs 95 per litre at Bharat Petroleum fuel stations in Guwahati on Saturday.
The continuously hike in fuel prices in Guwahati has become a trauma for the regular commuters.
On June 10, petrol prices touched Rs 91 per litre in Guwahati and within 25 days 4 rupees seen increased in the fuel stations of Guwahati.
Hello Guwahati in conversation with a Guwahati resident says, “Refilling with Rs 100 now-a-days is very less, as petrol prices are increasing rapidly. I need to think twice before going out if the work is not that important. We take out our vehicle when it’s needed and very important to go. Mostly, I prefer two-wheeler to move within the city if we are more than two and it’s important to go then only we prefer four-wheeler. Moreover, managing with two-wheeler is best during this time”.
While another resident of Guwahati said, “Everyday I travel around 40 kms from my workplace to home but has given me a hard time due to rising of petrol prices. It makes me think twice to drive vehicles as I have to manage my living in this meagre amount of salary. However, the heavy traffic in Guwahati specially in the construction sites like Maligaon, Sarabhatti etc. is add-on. It both kills time and money, but now I feel as if the ruling government is giving a cold-eye to the struggles of the common people.”
