Guwahati News Desk: President Ram Nath Kovind underwent a cataract surgery in Delhi, on Thursday morning.
The surgery took place at Indian Army Research and Referral Hospital in New Delhi.
The information was provided to the media through a statement by the President House that said, âPresident Ram Nath Kovind underwent cataract surgery at Army Hospital, New Delhi today morning.”
The President House further informed that the surgery was a successful one and that the President had been discharged from the hospital.
As per the sources, he had earlier visited the hospital in March, following a chest discomfort. After which, he later underwent routine tests and was kept under observation.
In addition to this, President Kovind had also undergone a successful bypass surgery in March at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi as well.
The 75-year-old, President Kovind, had taken over as the 14th President of India on July 25 in the year 2017.
