Guwahati News Desk: South star Rajinikanth on Tuesday announces that he will not launch his much-awaited political party which was scheduled on December 31, ahead of the upcoming 2021 assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.
The 70 year old actor took his Twitter handle seeking apologies for his decision.
“Only I know the pain I’m going through while writing these words. Even without being part of electoral politics, I will continue to serve the people in ways I can,” the actor tweeted on his three-page statement.
Earlier this week, due to ‘severe hypertension and exhaustion’ he was admitted to a private hospital in Hyderabad. After his blood pressure stabilized, he was discharged and was advised a week’s rest by doctors on December 27.
