SA defeats WI by 8 wickets, Pakistan clinched huge win against NZ: T20 World Cup

Guwahati News Desk: In their second Super 12 match of the ICC T20 World Cup, team South Africa succeeds in defeating West Indies by a total of eight wickets.

The match was held at the Dubai International Stadium on Tuesday.

In Tuesday’s match, opener Evin Lewis struck a fine half-century before South Africa restricted West Indies to a score of 143/8. In response, South Africa batters overhauled the target with 10 balls to spare.

In addition, the West Indies bowlers looked on helplessly, when Rassie van der Dussen, Aiden Markram and Reeza Hendricks played their match-winning knocks.

On the other hand, Evin Lewis was the only positive aspect of the team as the West Indies batting lineup failed to step up for a second successive game.

Moreover, it was Anrich Nortje who bagged the title of ‘Player of The Match.

The members of team South Africa included of Temba Bavuma(c), Reeza Hendricks, Rassie van der Dussen, Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen(w), David Miller, Dwaine Pretorius, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje and Tabraiz Shamsi.

The members of team West Indies included of Lendl Simmons, Evin Lewis, Chris Gayle, Shimron Hetmyer, Nicholas Pooran(w), Kieron Pollard(c), Andre Russell, Dwayne Bravo, Akeal Hosein, Hayden Walsh and Ravi Rampaul.

Eventually, the score of the match mounted up to West Indies’ being 143/8 (20) and team South Africa’s being 144/2 (18.2).

Regarding the match between Pakistan and New Zealand, Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 5 wickets.

The match took place at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Moreover, the sensational bowling performance by Haris Rauf (4/22), helped Pakistan restrict New Zealand to 134/8 in 20 overs. Apart from Rauf, fellow pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi, Imad Wasim, and Hafeez picked up a wicket each on the sluggish pitch at Sharjah.

In regards to New Zealand, Daryl Mitchell and Devon Conway had scored 27 each while skipper Kane Williamson contributed with a sluggish 26-ball 25.

In Tuesday’s match, Haris Rauf bagged the title of ‘Player of The Match.

The members of team Pakistan included of Mohammad Rizwan (w), Babar Azam (c), Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Asif Ali, Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Hasan Ali, Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi.

The members of team New Zealand included of Martin Guptill, Daryl Mitchell, Kane Williamson (c), Devon Conway, Glenn Phillips, James Neesham, Tim Seifert (w), Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee and Trent Boult.

Furthermore, the score of the match mounted up to Pakistan’ being 135/5 (18.4) and team New Zealand’s being 134/8 (20).
