Guwahati News Desk: Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has organized Safai Abhiyan in collaboration with Kamakhya Devalaya Management Committee and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) in the historic Nilachal Hills in Guwahati on Saturday.
It’s a part of âClean Guwahati, Green Guwahati initiative taken by the Guwahati Municipal Corporation to project nature and clean the area to increase the beauty of the Nilachal Hills.
Team of GMC, NDRF, and Kamakhya Devalaya Management Committee came out all together and started cleaning the historic hill. The Nilachal Hills is one of the major and popular tourist destinations in Guwahati. The popular worship place Kamakhya Temple is located in the hills of Nilachal including other temples like Bhubneswari Temple, Kotiling Shiv Temple, Maa Bagala Mukhi Temple, etc.
The Nilachal Hills has a popular viewpoint from which tourists can spot the beauty of Guwahati City as recently a new road was constructed in the Nilachal Hills which connects to the Pandu area of Maligaon which is now one of the popular destinations among the Guwahatians.
