Guwahati News Desk: The final results of Higher Secondary Class 12 were declared by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) on Saturday.
AHSEC has not provided any position as the examination was not held and it’s the first time ever that the results were declared without holding any examination due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the sources, a total of 2,49,812 candidates have appeared in the final HS examination. 38,430 candidates are from the Science stream, 18,443 are from the Commerce stream and 1,91,855 are from the Arts stream. 1,081 students are from the Vocational course.
Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu expressed satisfaction over the declaration of the HS results by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council on Saturday.
Minister Pegu said students should not worry about getting admission to the college. Pegu also informed that there are 1 lakh 70 thousand seats were available in both provincialized private and government institutions as we could decide to go for entrance examination for admission in the colleges.
