Guwahati News Desk: South superstar Rajinikanth was admitted to Kauvery Hospital in Chennai on Thursday.
According to sources, the actor, who was in New Delhi a few days back to receive the esteemed Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his contribution to cinema, had gone to the hospital for a routine checkup, where he was later admitted.
His wife Latha and his publicist Riaz K Ahmed stated that the actor was doing well and that there was nothing to worry.
Moreover, the hospital is expected to issue a bulletin on October 29, and the actor will be discharged in a day or two.
In addition, his fans have been taking to social media to wish him a speedy recovery.
On the work front, Rajinikanth is waiting for the release of his upcoming film, Annaatthe. Directed by Siruthai Siva, the film is all set to hit the theatres on November 4, on the occasion of Diwali. In a recent interview, Rajinikanth said that he will do two more films and bid goodbye to cinema.
According to the latest reports, Rajinikanth is said to have signed a film each with his daughters, Aishwaryaa and Soundarya. However, an official announcement regarding the same is yet to be made.
