Guwahati News Desk: The blooming Assamese short filmmaker Nibir Akash Baruah has once again succeeded in helping Assamese films gain recognition on a global platform.
Baruah’s recently released film named ‘Swansong’ presented by Navarasa Talkies has not only received immense praise, love and support of the audience in Assam and Northeast, but has also successfully grasped the attention of the audience both nationally, as well as internationally.
To begin with, Swansong has received an honourable mention in the Madras Independent Film Festival. In addition, the film has also been officially selected for the Abbey Film Festival in the UK, Noble International Film Festival and Awards in Bangalore, and has also occupied the spot as a semifinalist in the Rameswaram International Film Festival.
Prior to Swansong, the other successful Assamese short film made by Baruah was named ‘Nimila Onko’, a light-hearted romantic drama, which was chosen for the ‘Thinking Hat Fiction Challenge’ short film festival.
Moreover, the splendid cast of the short film Swansong, consists of Kishore Bharadwaj Baruah and Nibir Akash Baruah himself.
