Guwahati News Desk: On the holy occassion of Christmas, Tezpur celebrated the day with great fervour and joy, but the two puppy adoption camps set in the town turned out to be the major attractions of the day.
The adoption camps were set up in front of Ganesh Gath’s Main Gate and near Don Bosco Catholic School, Tezpur.
Although both camps were two separate ventures, yet their goal was the same and that was to help all the lovely furballs to get a loving family and a safe home to live in.
The two animal welfare NGO’s included of “The Voice” and “We Animals Foundation”, who have been continuosly working hard in order to help the animals stay safe and sound in and around the town of Tezpur.
In addition, “We Animals Foundation” had collaborated with Tezpur University’s “Animal Welfare Club”, a club that has been looking after the the animals living inside and around the campus of Tezpur Central University.
Animal Welfare Club had brought in a total of 11 puppies, born and brought up in the campus itself, nearly 1-1.5 months old, to be given up for adoption in the camp.
Moreover, since the last few years, organising such camps have become an integral part of Tezpur’s Christmas celebration, with the primary focus being to help a great number of puppies get adopted.
Furthermore, the joyful ambience of Christmas eve in Tezpur was also reflected in the colourful preparations seen in the Catholic Schools, Churches, and restaurants on Saturday.
