Guwahati News Desk: Three people died on spot after two motorbikes collided head-to-head at the Karimganj district in Assam on Sunday night.
According to the sources, both the bikes were travelling at high speed at the Silchar-Karimganj national highway and collided head-to-head.
One 25-year-old Bishal Nath died on the spot, while 24-year-old Dipanjan Ghosh was immediately taken to the nearest hospital but declared dead.
On the other hand, the third victim of a bike accident 24-year-old Biprojit Ghosh was firstly rushed to Kamimganj Civil Hospital and then referred to Silchal Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) but he was also declared dead.
The tragic bike accident that took the life of three youths, local people gathered on the spot and later police officials rushed on the spot.
After the police reached at the spot, the local people attacked the Officer-in-charge of Badapu Police Station Dipak Kumar Saikia.
Soon after the attack, police officials started lathi-charge and bring the situation under control.
Six people were booked for the moral police act against the officials on duty.
