Guwahati News Desk: A four-month-old tiger cub was found dead on Tuesday morning at Assam’s Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve (KNPTR).
During a regular patrol, the staff of the Tazeng anti-poaching camp in the park spotted the carcass.
Before the cremation, samples were taken for post-mortem by the senior forest officials and veterinarians.
General observation and post-mortem of the carcass revealed that the carcass bore puncture marks on the neck and other parts of the body as well as broken ribs, said P Sivakumarm, director of KNPTR.
The cub is suspected to have been killed by a bigger tiger.
