Guwahati News Desk: Assam Police arrested 4 people in charge of carrying illegal Yaba Tablets in two Bolero vehicles.
Assam Police conducted a search operation as an inter-state drugs gang was picked up. Two Bolero vehicles bearing registration numbers AS 01DP 4867 and MN 03P 4820 were seized by Assam Police and recovered 50,000 Yaba tablets and cash worth Rs 19 lakh.
The tablets and cash were hidden in the vehicles but due to the efforts of Assam Police, all the materials was seized. The Assam Police laid the trap at Dudhnoi in Goalpara district on Friday.
Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “#AssamAgainstDrugs. In yet another crackdown on an inter-state drugs gang, Assam Police has nabbed 4 persons carrying a consignment of 50K Yaba Tablets, Rs 19 Lakh cash, hidden in 2 Bolero vehicles. The trap was laid at Dudhnoi in Goalpara today. Well done.”
