Guwahati News Desk: 22 students of Jnan Vikas Academy Senior Secondary School have tested positive for COVID-19 at Kalaigaon n Mangaldoi on Saturday.
The district administration of Darrang immediately shut down and declared a containment zone at the higher secondary school for seven days.
According to the sources, the students who have been tested positive for COVID-19 we’re both first and second-year students.
The government of Assam has issued an order to reopen all the schools on October 19.
In the last 10 days, a total of 90 new COVID-19 cases were ported in the Darrang district.
