Guwahati News Desk: The curfew timing has been extended to 6 pm to 5 am in Guwahati City and across the State announced by the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) on Monday which is to be implemented from August 10.
The curfew timing was extended as the positivity rate has improved in the State.
All the workplace, business establishments, commercial offices, restaurants, hotels, resorts, Dhaba’s, showrooms, sales counters, departmental stores other eateries, warehouses, groceries, fruits vegetable shops shall remain open till 5 pm.
All the public transport authorities shall encore COVID-19 appropriate behaviour and seating inside the vehicles, carriers, containers etc.
The administration has allowed to gather at least 10 persons for marriages or funeral programmes. Wearing of the mask to remain mandatory in all public places.
Restrictions on inter-district passengers transport services and movement of people to and from other districts need to be based on the conduct of offline classes in some premier institutions, graded reopening of religious places and state-protected monuments and sites etc will be comprehensively reviewed depending on the progression of reduction in caseload.
Other restrictions including the odd-even formula for vehicles and declaration of containment zones etc to remain in force.
