Guwahati News Desk: Pakistan’s Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of police on early Monday launched an operation in southwest district of Mastung and killed five terrorists.
According to sources, the operation was conducted on an intelligence information in Splinji area of Mastung, a district in southwest province of Balochistan.
The CTD personnel cordoned off a hideout and asked the terrorists to surrender but they opened fire at the raiding party which led to a shootout.
The Police recovered heavy explosives, detonators, automatic weapons, live rounds and remote-controlled devices and others from their possession.
The terrorists were working on a plot to launch attacks in the provincial capital Quetta.
