Earlier, Eicher Group took an initial outlay of Rs 50 crore committed in the year 2020 in addition to the clear and purposeful focus on semi-urban and rural areas that need healthcare and livelihood interventions.
The Royal Enfield also join hands for the long term medical infrastructure reinforcement projects in partnership with the local government bodies and the Indian Army.
After the COVID-19 situation continued to hit millions of life across the nation, the Royal Enfield the global leader in the mid-size motorcycle segment has strengthened in commitment to aid the country’s fight against the second wave of COVID-19.
The company initiatives focus on building long term medical infrastructure, aiding remote and rural communities and also enabling local administrations with immediate response measures.
The two-wheeler brand has identified strategic medium and long term programs that are inspired by UN’s COVID-19 response framework Build Back Better.
The Royal Enfield continuously working with the State governments and the non-governmental organisations (NGOs) across the capital city Delhi NCR and Tamil Nadu.
The company has shared the earmarked amount is being distributed under the following key areas and initiatives.
1) Building sustainable medical support.
2) Supporting livelihoods and aid for remote regions.
3) Goonj: Royal Enfield is supporting GOONJ in its RAHAT-COVID initiative which is a long-term programme towards rebuilding communities in remote areas.
4) CARE India
5) Royal Enfield distributed an amount of Rs 2 crore to the Tamil Nadu Chief Ministerâs Public Relief Fund to fight against COVID-19.
