Guwahati News Desk: Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma handed over a cheque of Rs 500 crore to Oil India Limited (OIL) as a part payment for raising the Assam Government equity stake of 26 per cent in Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) on Thursday.
It was a historic moment for the Assam as the investment in NRL will give a boost to the economy of the State.
