Guwahati News Desk: The Health and Family Welfare department has issued a SOP for COVID vaccination of persons without ID cards and on-site registration at CoWin for vaccination for the age group of 18 to 44 on Saturday.
The District Immunization Officer has enable such special sessions for beneficiaries without ID cards like prisoners, old age home members, sadhu & saints, inmates at mental health institutions, roadside beggars and also people living in rehabilitation centres etc.
People will be added in the beneficiary list on-spot at Covid vaccination centre by registering them without ID card as the identified centres will provide hardcopy vaccination certificate to the people.
The department has also decided to facilitate COVID-19 vaccination through on-site registration and appointment for 18-44 age group only for people of tea garden areas, who do not have access to smartphones for online appointment and vaccination slot booking.
The season for on-site registration will be schedule separately or during alternate days as it will be conducted at tea gardens to reach quicker to the goal of vaccination.
In the rural areas, the administration will provide an opportunity to get vaccine slots to those deprived of technology and smartphones.
