Guwahati News Desk: COVID-19 cases in Guwahati are rapidly increasing as the government of Assam has aimed to vaccinate all 100 per cent of citizens of Guwahati by end of August.
The health workers and medical officials will be visiting every household in Guwahati City to check the vaccination certificates of the people.
Earlier, Assam Health and Family Welfare Minister Keshab Mahanta have said the government will prepare a list of the people of Guwahati city who are yet not vaccinated and will start the vaccination session for them.
The government of Assam has released a public appeal on Saturday in order to expedite the COVID-19 vaccination process and to keep a check on the increasing numbers of COVID-19 cases in Kamrup Metro.
For making the campaign success a team of booth officers and healthcare workers will be visiting every household in Kamrup Metro to monitor the COVID vaccination status of the citizens as the target has been set till the end of August month to vaccinate all the 100 per cent people of Guwahati.
The government of Assam has requested and appealed the citizen of Guwahati to cooperate with the health officials by providing your accurate COVID vaccination status.
The government has targeted to make Guwahati a COVID-19 free city. Kamrup Metro reported fresh 126 COVID-19 cases on Saturday.
