Guwahati News Desk: Jorhat MP Topon Kumar Gogoi participated in a mass sanitization drive at Lahingia Gaon in Sivasagar district against the second wave of the pandemic in the State.
The entire Lahingia village was sanitized under the stewardship of MP Gogoi as Circle Officer of Sivasagar Recenue Circle Bhaskar Jyoti Rajbongshi and Assistant Commissioner Manisha Kalita and other officials were also seen participating in the mass sanitization drive.
Food packets were also distributed among the village residences as containment zones were declared in the village by the district administration after witnessing maximum cases.
After the activity, MP Gogoi visited Sivasagar Civil Hospital to distribute fruits among the COVID-19 patients.
MP Gogoi also donated blood during his visit to the hospital.
