Guwahati News Desk: The Airport Authority of India (AAI) of Lilabari Airport of Lakhimpur district has signed a Flying Training Organisation (FTO) land lease agreement with Red Bird Flight Training Academy of Delhi on Tuesday.
The collaboration is to set up a flight training institute at Lilabari Airport in order to improve and provide a bright future in the field of the aeronautical world.
According to the sources, the land has been taken over by the Red Bird Flight Training Academy and it will be the first-ever flying school and training academy in the entire north-eastern States and will be the seventh in the entire nation.
The training will be provided for the job of the pilot and for other crew engaged in the Airports. It will provide a bright future to the students who want to make a career in the pilot profession. The scope might be easily available as Guwahati International Airport is under construction and it will be added to one of the biggest airports in India.
It will further commute many international flights after the construction which is currently operated by nearby States international airport.
The Lilabari Airport of Lakhimpur’s construction was completed in 2003 and the terminal was inaugurated by the former Union Civil Aviation Minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain.
