Guwahati News Desk:Â Renowned Journalist Barun Dasgupta from Assam passes away in a hospital in Kolkata on Sunday.
Dasgupta was residing alone after the demise of his wife, Ruchira Shyam. Due to various organ failures, he breathed he last at the age of 86.
Dasgupta was a special correspondent of The Hindu in Guwahati. He was a prominent journalist who was proficient in Bengali, Assamese, Hindi, and English languages.
As per sources, Barun Dasgupta acted as an active member in the Indian Journalist association for several years.
Barun Dasgupta’s demise has left a big void in the field of journalism.
