Guwahati News Desk: Young Indians Guwahati Chapter, the youth arm of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) virtually launched a short video to congratulate and cheer the Indian contingent and Lovlina Borgohain of Assam at the Tokyo Olympics 2021 on Thursday.
Speaking about the initiative, Co-chair, Yi Guwahati Chapter Amrit Deorah said, “We have the largest Indian contingent of athletes competing this year at the Olympics and we are proud that Assam too will be representing the country. This short video by Yi is to give a boost to our team and to support their journey throughout the Olympics.”
“The one minute and seven seconds video features young state and national level boxers from the region celebrating the participation of Indian athletes at the Olympics. The video has been conceptualised, shot and directed in Guwahati to inspire the children and youth to be passionate about Olympics,” stated Past Chair, Yi Guwahati Chapter Hamad M A R Berlashker.
Co-Chair, Branding, YI Mehtaj Zaman Ahmed said on the occasion, “It feels great to support Lovlina, the first woman from Assam to represent India at the Olympics. All our athletes have trained hard to deserve a place at the Olympics and they will fight it out with grit and determination to earn medals for the 1.3 billion citizens of India.”
Whereas, Chairman, North-Eastern region, CII Abhijit Barooah participated in the program and applauded the effort of the team Past Chair, Yi Guwahati Chapter and MD of Korangani Tea Debajit Chaliha who also participated in the virtual launch.
Young Indians Guwahati Chapter which comprises of young entrepreneurs of the city have always been at the forefront to encourage the youth and to help other potential entrepreneurs.
They also conduct several activities, workshops, seminars, social campaigns etc., from time to time as a part of extending service to the society at large.
