Guwahati News Desk: A dead body of a COVID positive patient was recovered from the footpath of Assam Medical College & Hospital (AMCH) at Dibrugarh in Assam on Saturday.
Dibrugarh Police recovered the body of a 54-year-old man identified as Bhim Bhuyan of Romai tea estate from the footpath of Jalan Nagar area.
According to the source, earlier, an ambulance driver named Irfan Khan saved the life of Bhim Bhuyan by providing his oxygen in the ambulance which got viral on social media and termed as a hero for saving a life.
The ambulance driver took the patient to Covid Care Centre at Don Bosco for admission but later he was transferred to AMCH on May 28.
Bhuyan was later went missing in a mysterious condition and when the family could not trace the patient immediately informed the local police.
Commenting on the incident, Dibrugarh SP Shwetank Mishra said, “We have started our inquiry. Right now we can’t say much about the case because we are checking all his admission records.”
